What we do
Podo is a logistics business with a factory attached. Most of what we handle belongs to somebody else: stock we store, orders we pick, containers we clear and deliveries we run across Malta and Gozo. Alongside that we assemble, pack and finish goods for clients who would rather not hold a production line of their own. Both halves share a building, a stock system and a yard, which is the reason the combination is worth having at all.
The handover is where cost and time go
On an island the distances are short, so the delay is rarely the driving. It is the waiting: for a container to be released, for stock to be counted into a different company’s system, for a subcontractor to schedule a run.
Holding storage, packing and delivery in one building removes those pauses. Stock that arrives in the morning can be counted, repacked and on a van the same afternoon without leaving the site or changing hands.

Who we hold stock for
The requirements differ more than the goods do. Some clients need temperature control and date rotation, some need a locked cage and an audit trail, some simply need the pallets gone from their shop floor. We take each on its own terms rather than offering one standard of storage.

What a first conversation covers
What is coming in
Volumes, how it arrives, whether it is palletised, and how much of the year it sits still. Storage priced by pallet and by week only works if we both know the shape of the year.
What has to go out
Order profile, delivery windows, and whether you need a signature back. Picking a hundred small orders is a different operation from moving ten pallets.
What it needs from the building
Temperature, segregation, security, and any documentation the goods have to carry. Cheaper to establish now than after the first pallet arrives.

Which work is ours and which stays yours. Written down at the start, because the gaps between the two are where things get missed.
